A voice interaction guidance system designed in our laboratory was placed near NIT's main gate.~
Mei-chan is the receptionist-like 3D character that is shown on this human-sized display that faces the main gate. ~
One can approach the microphone and ask for information about the university or the weather, for example, and get a reply from the 3D character.~
While replying to the question, Mei-chan uses gestures and shows relevant images (like maps) that could help in the guidance.~
Please, let's all try to talk to Mei-chan.
